Curiosities

Aliens.
Aliens are Extraterrestrial Lifeforms who do not originate from Earth. Aliens have been described in many ways, ranging from being a simple bacteria-like organism to being far more advanced than humans. Many people have said they have been taken and experimented on by aliens and there have been several reported cases of people seeing UFOs and lights in the skies. The famous Roswell incident has always been denied by the US Government.
I have always been interested in Aliens. I do believe many cases in which people say they have seen aliens of have even been taken.
I have never seen an alien or a UFO so I’m a little skeptical with many things, but I like to believe we are not the only ones in the Universe.

Magic
Magic is the claimed art of manipulating aspects of reality either by supernatural means or through knowledge of occult laws unknown to science. Modern Western magicians generally state magics primary purpose to be “Spiritual Growth”. There are many Rituals, Magical Symbols and Languages. Magic has been believed by many people for hundreds of years.
I’m very unsure about magic. I have never seen any sort of proof that it exists but I do not disbelieve it. I think it may exist but perhaps not in ways that our stories and films depict.

Ghosts
In traditional belief and Fiction, a ghost is the soul or spirit of a deceased person or animal that can appear in visible form or other manifestations to the living. People describe seeing ghosts as either very pale and barely visible to a fully life-like vision. People try to contact the dead by performing Seances and various other forms of “magic”. Some people use Ouija boards and are left having nightmares for life.
I do believe in ghosts because I have seen one myself. I’m unsure as to why ghosts exist, many people say it’s because they’re stuck either as a punishment to things they did in their life or because the mighty man cannot make his mind up where you go. Who knows, I guess we will have to just wait until we get there.

Religion
Religion is a collection of cultural systems, belief systems and world views that establishes symbols that relate humanity to spirituality, and sometimes to moral values. Many religions have narratives, symbols traditions and sacred histories that are intended to give meaning to life or to explain the origin of life and the universe.
I have always been very opinionated about Religion, It has always angered me to the point of being arrogant. When I was younger I never understood it fully and always mocked people who had any sort of belief. I feel bad about it all now because I understand it all a little better. Well as much as you can understand Religion. I do have my own beliefs, nothing like the ones you read in The Bible or any other religious books. I believe religion is to fill the gaps and the questions that can never be answered until we die. Well as far as we know we will find everything out, but who knows. Religion is a touchy subject, I do respect other peoples beliefs as long as they respect mine. I would love to travel and learn about various different Religions and I do plan to one day, but for now I shall settle with being forced to listen to Preachers on the streets of Newport.

Space and the Universe
The universe is commonly defined as the totality of everything that exists, including all matter and energy, the planets, stars, galaxies and the contents of intergalactic space.
Our Universe is a scary place, nobody really knows what’s out there. We have come a long way in the last 100 years when it comes to exploration. We are still very primitive when it comes to journeying far from Earth, but eventually we will get there. Until we really find out what’s out there, and not just photographs of a colourful blob which may or may not be the next solar system, we will just have to rely on Religion…

Dreams
Dreams are successions of images, ideas, emotions and sensations that occur involuntarily in the mind during stages of sleep. People often remember dreams but rarely in full. People can usually only remember parts, most people can only remember either the beginning or the end of a dream. People often sleep walk, sleep talk and know when they’re dreaming. Lucid dreams are very interesting, knowing when you’re dreaming and still being aware of what’s going on around you whilst still being asleep.
I think dreams are very weird. Nobody can really explain why they happen, people say it’s our hopes, dreams and desires but who really knows.

History

History is the discovery, collection, organisation and presentation of information about past events. History is the most important thing we have. We can learn so much from the past and develop further as a species. History is all we have to go on and I love learning about various different aspects of the past. Whether it’s fairly recent, such as the world wars or as far back as the mayan people. I find it all interesting, learning about cultures and religions and how they have changed and developed over time.

Languages

Language is the human way for acquiring and using complex systems of communication. Language is the only way we can speak to one another. Without it we wouldn’t be able to express ourselves to one another. Different countries have different languages, some are harder to learn than others but they are all equally as fascinating. As a world we have developed many ways of communicating through different languages.

Phobias

A phobia is a type of anxiety disorder, usually defined as a persistent fear of an object or situation in which the sufferer commits to great lengths in avoiding, typically disproportional to the actual danger posed. Often being recognised as irrational.
Phobias are odd but uncontrollable and random. Most people who suffer with a phobia of something cannot explain why they feel the way they do. It would be interesting to know what sparks a phobia, whether it being a past experience or just a random chemical issue in the brain, it would be interesting if somebody with a phobia could one day explain how they feel and even know the reason as to why.

Natural world

“Nature” in the broadest sense is equivalent to the natural world, physical world or material world. “Nature” refers to the phenomena of the physical world and also life in general. I’m very curious about what’s out there and why it’s out there. I love watching documentaries about animals and the planet in general. I think it’s great to know about where you live whether it be lots of information about one city of the world in general. Seen as we have to live here we may as well learn about our environments.
